2018 Debmarine Namibia Cup dates set

REHOBOTH, 21 FEB (NAMPA) – The Namibia Football Association (NFA) has set the dates for the 2018 Debmarine Namibia Cup.
A memo addressed to all NFA affiliated teams on Tuesday indicates that the elimination rounds for the First and Second Divisions are scheduled to take place on the weekends of 03 - 04 March and 10 - 11 March.
The final is set for 26 May.
The draw for the preliminary elimination matches between the two second divisions' teams will be conducted on 12 March and the matches are scheduled to take place on 17 March.
NFA and Debmarine Namibia last year signed a three-year sponsorship deal worth over N.dollars 14 million for the hosting of the tournament.
The Round of 32 will see 13 regional teams from the Second Division and three First Division teams that won their games during the preliminary stages meet up with the 16 Namibia Premier League (NPL) teams.

The Debmarine Namibia Cup 2017 was won by NPL rookies Young Africans from Gobabis after they defeated Mighty Gunners from Otjiwarongo by three goals to two in a match played in Gobabis at Legare Stadium.
