Man found hanging from a tree near Osire Refugee Camp

OTJIWARONGO, 08 FEB (NAMPA) – A 58-year-old man was found hanging from a tree at Farm Okapanda near the Osire Refugee Camp on Saturday morning.
The Namibian Police Force (NamPol)’s Otjozondjupa Regional Public Relations Officer, Sergeant Maureen Mbeha told Nampa on enquiry Saturday the deceased has been identified as Isasskar Kaeka.
His family have been informed of his death.
Mbeha said Kaeka, who is from the Okakarara area in the Otjozondjupa Region, had travelled to Farm Okapanda on Friday last week, where he was contracted for construction work.
“Kaeka was reported missing from the Okapanda farm at the Osire Refugee Camp Police Station on Tuesday,” she said.
Kaeka’s body was found in a decomposed state on Saturday at about 08h00 by one of the farm workers.
No suicide note was found.
Police investigations continue.
