WINDHOEK, 08 FEB (NAMPA) - A group of Finnish journalists visited Namibia from 04 to 06 February to get an overview of the Namibian economy, political situation, business and investment opportunities.
The Ministry of Trade and Industry said in a media statement issued on Friday that the group met on Friday morning with the Head of Mission of the Embassy of Finland in Namibia, Anne Saloranta and the Minister of Trade and Industry Calle Schlettwein.
The journalists also visited local companies to gain insight on their business operations.
Their visit here will result in articles to be published in Finland for Finnish companies and investors to consider investing in Namibia.
Meanwhile, Schlettwein pointed out the pivotal role played by Martti Oiva Kalevi Ahtisaari, the 10th President of Finland (1994–2000), leading towards Namibia's independence.
