Murder in Kuisebmund

SWAKOPMUND, 04 JUN (NAMPA) - A 24-year-old man was stabbed to death with a broken piece of glass at a bar in the Kuisebmund residential area in Walvis Bay on Sunday.
The Namibian Police Force?s (NamPol) acting Crime Investigations' Co-ordinator here, George Xoagub told Nampa the incident occurred during the early morning hours of Sunday.
The deceased, Thomas Lukas, was stabbed behind one of his ears by the alleged perpetrator, and was declared dead upon arrival at the Walvis Bay State Hospital.
The suspect was arrested on the same day, and remains in police custody.
In a separate incident, a Walvis Bay company, Corridor Logistics, lost N.dollars 118 289 to an armed robbery on Friday.
According to Xoagub, two masked men stormed the company's office in the industrial area, gun-pointed two employees, grabbed the cash and fled.
No one was injured, and police investigations continue.
