Grootfontein receives good rain

WINDHOEK, 07 FEB (NAMPA) – Grootfontein received 29.2 millimetres (mm) of rain on Thursday, the Namibia Hydrological Service (NHS) said on Friday.
Bagani town, situated on the south-western banks of the Kavango River about 200 km east of Rundu, recorded 25.2mm of rain.
The Kavango River in the Rundu area reported a water level of 5.05 metres (m), compared to 4.89m the same time last week.
The Zambezi River in the Katima Mulilo area reported a water level of 2.31 m, compared to 1.96m on the same day last week.
Meanwhile, the extreme eastern areas of the country are expected to receive good rain on Friday.
