Heavy showers expected in north-eastern regions

WINDHOEK, 06 FEB (NAMPA) – Good rain is expected over the north-eastern regions on Friday, the Namibia Meteorological Service (NMS) has reported.
It further said in a weather update issued on Thursday that the interior of the country is expected to be partly cloudy and warm with heavy showers and thundershowers in the north-eastern areas.
Elsewhere, it is expected to be partly cloudy and warm to hot, except in the central-north, west and south areas.
The wind is expected to be fresh to strong south-westerly in the west from the evening.
The weather at the coast is predicted to be partly cloudy and cool with morning fog patches, and the wind at the coast is expected to be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly, strengthening from the evening.
High tides at Walvis Bay are expected at 09h47 and 22h30, and a low tide at 15h59.
Sunrise in Windhoek is expected to be at 06h35, and sunrise at 19h36.
The highest temperatures can be expected at Noordoewer with 38 degrees Celsius, and Eenhana, Maltahohe and Omaruru with 34 degrees Celsius, respectively.
