OPUWO, 30 MAY (NAMPA) - Opuwo mayor Tuarungua Kavari says the second Opuwo Trade Fair underway here has exceeded their expectations.
?During the first Opuwo Trade Fair last year, only 22 exhibitors participated, compared to 58 exhibitors who registered and are participating in the second trade fair this year,? Kavari said in his welcoming speech during the official opening of this fair on Wednesday.
He attributed the success and increase in the number of exhibitors to the extensive marketing of the event in different ways, such as the media.
The mayor said the Opuwo Town Council, through the Opuwo Trade Fair Society, will continue to look for ways to bring economic development to the community of this town.
The fair has become the biggest annual tourism event for the town. It started on Tuesday, and ends on Sunday.
