WINDHOEK, 29 SEP (NAMPA) – The 29.09.2019 concert held in the capital on Saturday saw Namibian music legend Killa B grace the stage after a nearly seven-year absence from the music scene.
Music enthusiasts went ecstatic when Killa B came on stage to perform his new and old songs which the audience sang along to for the duration of his set.
The ‘Eliko’ hitmaker sent the audience back down memory lane with his fabricant moves as the crowd tried to imitate him.
Speaking to this news agency Killa B noted that he was overwhelmed by the reception he got as it was years since he last performed for so many people.
“I still cannot believe the love I received tonight from my fans,” said Killa B.
He also noted that he was proud of his cousin King Tee Dee for proving critics wrong by hosting yet another successful concert and pulling together all the different artists as it is a true reflection of the growth of the industry and appreciation of local music.
“I got to perform with the Magogos who were once my dancers and I could not perform with them at some gigs like clubs because they were underage, so you can imagine my excitement,” added the artist.
He noted that he is done with his album which he plans to release soon.
King Tee Dee told Nampa on Sunday that he was happy as the show went according to plan and the artists brought their A-game too.
“I am not sure how many people came as that information is not available yet, but I can tell you that it was a success,” he said.
He noted that there were no security issues thanks to the Namibian Police Force and City Police presence, adding that those who came early were treated to a Tafel Lager.
Some of the artists who performed are Lioness, DJ Alba, Tate Buti, Top Cheri, Kaboy Kamakili, KP Illest, Chester, Magogos and Gazza.
