Jiangxi delegation visits Oshana

OSHAKATI, 21 SEP (NAMPA) – A high level delegation from Jiangxi Provincial Government in China visited the Governor of the Oshana Region, Elia Irimari, here on Friday.
Headed by the Secretary of Jiangxi Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection of Communist Party of China (CPC), Sun Xinyang, the delegation donated N.dollars 300 000 to the Oshana Regional Authority during their visit.
Speaking during a meeting with the delegation here on Friday afternoon, Irimari pointed out that the visit is a result of a sisterly cooperation between the two regional authorities.
Irimari told those present that their cooperation is aimed at developing exchange programmes that promote sustainable development between the two parties in their economic, social and cultural dimensions.
He went on to say that over the years, his region has strengthened its friendly relations with the Jiangxi Province and established a good relationship that now presents an enabling environment for Oshana and Jiangxi to implement joint projects, capacity programmes and share expertise to support their economic transformations.
“We are living in a world that is more connected and more complex than ever before,” Irimari noted, adding that the global market provides opportunities for them to develop global partnerships and cooperation.
According to Irimari, Jiangxi is an industrialised province and Oshana would like to follow suit in order to industrialise its economy through agriculture, technological innovation and major capital investments areas such as energy, infrastructure development and tourism.
Speaking through an interpreter, Xinyang pledged his provincial government’s continuous cooperation and support.
Xinyang used the same meeting to invite Irimari to lead a delegation from Oshana to Jiangxi in the near future.
