Chuu-Ve tourney set for conclusion this weekend

WINDHOEK, 12 SEP (NAMPA) - The second round of the fifth edition of the Chuu-Ve tournament will continue this weekend at the Khomasdal Stadium in the capital.
The annual community football and netball tournament started on 31 August 2019 with 24 football and 20 netball teams and the second round takes place this weekend, with the finals taking place on Sunday.
The organiser of the competition, Ngatuuane Hange, told Nampa on Thursday 11 football and four netball teams will compete this time around.
The football matches will start at 10h00 on Saturday, with Otjinene-based Okaumbangere locking horns with Amajitas from Windhoek.
Windhoek-based Tom and Jerry will face Pamue Eleven from Epukiro while Aminuis-based Fires Eyes are up against Pehi Pehi from Okakarara.
Another Aminuis-based team River Stars will face Renamo Bucks from Okombomi, whereas Okovimburu from Epukiro and Life Ino City from Otjombinde are scheduled to play the last game of the day.
On Sunday, Otjimanangombe from Epukiro will await the winner between Okaumbangere and Amajitas in the first quarter-final of the tourney.
The first netball semi-final games on Sunday will see the Okovimburu netball team from Epukiro go up against Otjinene-based Otjinoko at 13h00.
Windhoek-based Young Generation will face their counterpart from Truck Team in the second semi-final.
Fires Eyes and Truck Team are the current champions of the competition in the football and netball categories respectively.
