LHN records increase in HEPS in June 2019

WINDHOEK, 02 SEP (NAMPA) Letshego Holdings Namibia (LHN) recorded an increase in headline earnings per share of over N.dollars 5 million for the six-month period ending 30 June 2019.
The company recorded an increase in headline earnings per share from N.dollars 230 013 000 in June 2018 to N.dollars 235 078 000 in June 2019.
LHN announced this in its latest interim results on the Namibian Stock Exchange (NSX) on Monday.
Letshego also recorded an increase in its profit after tax of N.dollars 235 078 000 in June 2019, from N.dollars 230 013 000 in June 2018.
The company opened its doors in 2002 as Edu Loan Namibia, providing consumer and micro-lending services.
In August 2008, Letshego Holdings Limited, a Botswana Stock Exchange-listed entity, acquired 100 per cent of the company, soon after which it re-branded and was renamed Letshego Financial Services Namibia.
Furthermore, LHNs market capitalisation was approximately N.dollars 2 billion, representing six per cent of the NSX, where it has primary listing since August 2017.
