Police at Keetmanshoop hunting suspects in stock theft case

KEETMANSHOOP, 11 AUG (NAMPA) – The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) at Keetmanshoop in the //Kharas Region are searching for two of three suspects in a case in which they are suspected to have stolen 11 sheep.
NamPol crime investigations coordinator for //Kharas, Deputy Commissioner Chrispin Mubebo told Nampa on Sunday that one of the suspects was arrested on Saturday.
Mubebo said it is alleged that the three entered farm Deustamp, located 80 kilometres outside Keetmanshoop on the Aroab road, and slaughtered 11 sheep worth N.dollars 11 000 on Saturday morning.
“The suspect was arrested with seven carcasses worth N.dollars 7 000. The two on the run are well known,” said Mubebo.
The 28-year-old suspect will appear in the Keetmanshoop Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
