Rehoboth hosts Copa Coca-Cola national finals

REHOBOTH, 06 AUG (NAMPA) - Rehoboth High School will host the national finals of the Copa Coca-Cola Under-15 boys football tournament from Thursday to Saturday, which will see 14 football teams representing their respective regions.
The competition will further feature four girls’ football teams, which will participate in exhibition matches.
A statement availed to Nampa on Tuesday said the competition is an annual grassroots football project that aims to identify, nurture and reward the best in young footballing talent. It is run by the Namibia Schools Sports Union (NSSU).
During a speech read at the launch, Coca-Cola Franchise Manager for Namibia and Botswana, Moitshepi Sefako said they are expecting a thrilling tournament.
“Preparations have gone well and all is set for the national finals. As sponsors, we are glad that Namibia has joined more than 68 other countries who participate in this tournament and this will go a long way in giving Namibian teens opportunities and exposure, as well as develop Namibian football,” Sefako was quoted as saying.
The participating schools are Mariental High School (HS), A Shipena, Kunene (combined team), Wennie du Plessis, John Pandeni Combined School (CS), Lordsville CS, Tutaleni HS, Neyuva Senior Secondary (SS), Eenhana CS, Tsumeb SS, Otjozondjupa (combined team), Mupini CS, Ongwediva Junior Secondary School and Batubaja CS.
