Decomposed body found at Samahiho village

RUNDU, 05 AUG (NAMPA) – The decomposed body of an unknown man was discovered by a cattle herder at Samahiho village in the Kavango East region on Saturday.
Kavango East Namibian Police Force Crime Investigations Coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Bonifatius Kanyetu, told Nampa on Monday the decomposed remains were taken to the Rundu Police Mortuary and are yet to be identified.
Investigations in the matter continue.
In another incident in the Kavango West Region, a 35-year-old man was arrested last Friday for allegedly altering a licence disc and certificate issued in respect of an imported motor vehicle from Botswana to avoid paying customs duties.
He is expected to appear in the Rundu Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
His vehicle was impounded and police investigations into the matter continue.
