Man dies after allegedly causing two accidents

WINDHOEK, 05 AUG (NAMPA) - The driver of a Toyota Hilux pick-up who allegedly caused two accidents in Windhoek on Sunday, succumbed to his injuries Monday.
The man allegedly fled the scene of the first accident involving a taxi in Wanaheda and then reportedly caused a second serious accident involving six other people.
Speaking at the scene of the second accident in Khomasdal, City Police Superintendent Charl Morkel said seven people were injured, including the driver.
“Two people, including the driver, had serious injuries,” he said.
In the second accident that took place around 14h23 in Begonia Street, the driver of the Hilux drove head-on into a Ford Focus sedan and then into the wall of a nearby house.
Morkel informed Nampa on Monday that the man died in hospital.
