ALERT: HANSE-HIMARWA ESCAPES PRISON TERM

WINDHOEK, 31 July 2019 - Former Minister of Education, Arts and Culture Katrina Hanse-Himarwa, who was convicted of corruption earlier this month, has been sentenced to pay a fine of N.dollars 50 000 or serve a prison term of 24 months. Twelve of the 24 months are suspended for five years on condition that she is not found guilty of corruption or other related crimes. More to follow.
