WINDHOEK, 29 JUL (NAMPA) The coach of the senior national womens football team, Uerikondjera Kasaona, has set her sights on reaching the final of the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (Cosafa) Womens Championship.
The tournament will run from Thursday until 11 August in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
Kasaona revealed her ambitions on Monday at the Namibia Football Association headquarters in the capital during the official send-off ceremony for her team and the Under-20 womens national football team, who both received national colours from the Namibia Sports Commission.
We are very fit as we played a couple of games against the Under-20 team. We are ready to compete and not just to participate. We are hoping to get out of the group stage and from there we want nothing less than the final, said Kasaona.
Senior national team captain, Zenatha Coleman, at the same occasion said the team has been preparing well, everybody in the team is ready for the tournament and the public should expect positive results from them.
The Under-20 team will participate in the tournament under the stewardship of Mervin Mbakera, who will be assisted by Heinrich Isaacks.
The senior Brave Gladiators squad is as follows:

The Brave Gladiators Under-20 team is as follows:
