Namibia and Zimbabwe to host ninth JCC in capital

WINDHOEK, 20 JUL (NAMPA) Namibia and Zimbabwe will hold the ninth session of Joint Commission of Cooperation (JCC) in Windhoek between Monday and Wednesday.
According to a media statement issued on Friday by the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation Executive Director, Selma Ashipala-Musavyi, the JCC is expected to review the implementation of bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding in a wide range of areas such as trade and commerce, agriculture, fisheries, transport, education, training, youth, sports and culture.
It further noted that the two sister countries are also expected to discuss issues of mutual interest at the regional level in view of the forthcoming 39th Southern African Development Community (SADC) Summit, where Zimbabwe will assume the Chairpersonship of the SADC Organ of Politics, Defence and Security.
Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, will co-chair the joint commission with her counterpart, retired Lieutenant General and current Minster of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Zimbabwe, Sibusiso Moyo.
Zimbabwe hosted the eighth JCC session in 2017.
