OTJIWARONGO, 18 JUL (NAMPA) – The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in Otjozondjupa are calling on the public to assist in locating a man believed to be in his 30s linked to the murder incident of 21-year-old Ronald Bock at Farm Eastwood outside Outjo.
The farm is situated along the Outjo-Khorixas road.
NamPol spokesperson in the Otjozondjupa Region, Inspector Maureen Mbeha on Thursday told Nampa that the suspect, name known but withheld until his appearance in court, on the night of 11 July 2019 allegedly attacked Bock with a panga on the neck, killing him instantly during a fight.
The suspect then fled the scene on foot into the bushes at about 23h00.
Both men were farmworkers on Farm Eastwood, said Mbeha.
“The man is originally from Otjituuo in the Okakarara Constituency and we are calling on the public to assist us in locating him for arrest or the suspect to hand himself over to the police,” Mbeha said.
She cautioned the public not to try to arrest the suspect as he is considered dangerous, but to inform the nearest police station of his whereabouts.
Police investigations continue.
