WINDHOEK, 15 JUL (NAMPA) – The lifeless body of an unidentified man was discovered by cattle herders on Friday lying in the bush alongside the Brakwater road on the outskirts of Windhoek at around 11h50.
According to a weekend crime report issued by the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) on Monday, the cattle herders saw the body and thought the man was drunk on Thursday around 15h00 and proceeded with grazing.
As they continued grazing on Friday in the same vicinity, they saw the man covered in blood and recognised that the body was lifeless and had four stab wounds, leading to them informing NamPol of their discovery.
The deceased is yet to be identified while the suspected murder weapon was found on the ground next to the body.
Police investigations in the matter continue.
In another incident, a 21 year-old man died on the spot after he was allegedly hacked with a panga on the head at around 23h00 on Thursday at the East Wood farm in the Outjo district.
The deceased was identified as Ronald Bock and his next of kin have been informed of his death.
The suspect has not yet been arrested and police investigations continue.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 21-year-old man on Friday at around 21h00 at Block E in Rehoboth.
