Swapo's Nangolo sworn in at Ondangwa Town Council

ONGWEDIVA, 13 JUL (NAMPA) – Swapo-Party district coordinator for Ondangwa constituency, Sem Nangolo was on Friday sworn in as an ordinary member of the Ondangwa Town Council (OTC).
Nangolo is taking over from Leonard Negonga, who was last month elected as the Oshana regional councillor for Ondangwa Urban Constituency, following a by-election held there.
Spokesperson at the OTC, Petrina Shitalangaho who confirmed Nangolo’s swearing-in to Nampa on Friday said it is the fourth time that the coordinator is becoming a member of the OTC, after serving it between 2000 and 2015.
“He will only serve until the next local authority and regional elections to take place in the country next year,” she explained.
Nangolo was the next on the 2015 Swapo candidates list for the local authority elections at Ondangwa.
Local magistrate, Elvis Mwilima presided over the swearing-in ceremony.
