Two arrested for possession of cannabis at Gibeon

WINDHOEK, 17 JUN (NAMPA) – A 66-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man were arrested after they were found in possession of cannabis worth N.dollars 10 400 in Gibeon on Friday.
The weekly crime report issued by the Namibian Police Force on Monday said the incident occurred between 13h00 and 14h30.
Police investigations continue.
In an unrelated matter, two men armed with knives attacked three people, two of whom were German nationals, and robbed them of belongings worth N.dollars 100 000 in Windhoek on Saturday.
The two women and one man were attacked in Dr AB May Street around 12h00 and amongst others robbed of their vehicle and a cellphone.
The man was stabbed in the arm, while one of the women hurt her hand while attempting to remove her ring.
The vehicle was later recovered near the Western Bypass. No one has been arrested in connection with the robbery yet and police investigations continue.
The police also reported that Nicodemus Primary School at Ohamuti village in the Omusati Region was broken into and property worth nearly N.dollars 20 000 stolen on Saturday.
The crime report said an unknown object was used to break into the school’s strong room.
Two generators, a battery, as well as food items and beverages worth a total N.dollars 19 951 were stolen. No arrests have been made yet.
