NSSCO results out on Thursday

WINDHOEK, 12 JAN (NAMPA) – The National Senior Secondary Certificate (NSSCO) Ordinary Level full-time and part-time results will be released on Thursday.
This was announced in a media statement issued by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Alfred lIukena on Sunday.
The statement said last year, 42 861 Grade 12 candidates, comprising of 19 501 full-time and 23 360 part-time candidates, were registered for the NSSCO examination at 117 part-time tuition centres.
Last year, 1 016 markers were involved in the script marking, compared to 780 markers in 2012.
The results will be available on the website of the Directorate of National Examinations and Assessment (DNEA) at www.dnea.gov.na; the website of the Ministry of Education (www.moe.gov.na); and also be accessible via short message services (SMS).
To obtain their results via SMS, candidates should send a message with the name of the examination, followed by the surname and first name of the candidate (for example NSSCO Kaperu Theo) to 2929 or 99099.
The message can also just contain the candidate’s full examination number (NSSCO M050015 ).
They will then receive an SMS containing their results.
Both the websites and SMS services will become active on Thursday, 16 January at midnight.
Regional education offices will also provide a service during office hours by supplying the results from the broadsheets to candidates and relatives who personally visit or phone the offices.
