Ovitoto man allegedly hangs himself

OTJIWARONGO, 12 JAN (NAMPA) - A 52-year-old man allegedly hanged himself at the Onjongombe Reserve in the Ovitoto area on Saturday morning.
The Onjongombe Reserve is situated 40 kilometres south of Okahandja in the Omatako Constituency of the Otjozondjupa Region.
The Namibian Police Force (NamPol)’s Otjozondjupa Regional Public Relations Officer, Sergeant Maureen Mbeha told Nampa on Sunday the deceased was found hanging from a wire tied to a tree by a neighbour on Saturday at about 06h00.
She said the deceased did not leave any suicide note, and no foul play is suspected.
His family are not informed yet of his death.
An inquest docket - no. 1/2014 - has been opened at the Okahandja Police Station.
Police investigations continue.
