ONGWEDIVA, 12 JAN (NAMPA) – The regional manager of NamPower in northern Namibia, Petrus Lomboleni “Kaboyi” Shovaleka has died in a road accident on Thursday, some 32km from Tsumeb en route to Windhoek.
Chairperson of the Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) Northern Branch, Tomas Iindji announced Shovaleka’s death here on Friday.
Iindji said family members of the late Shovaleka told the NCCI Northern Branch leadership that he died upon his arrival at a Tsumeb hospital due to internal injuries he sustained.
It is suspected that Shovaleka, 50, was involved in a head-on collision with an oncoming car on a curve, about 32km from Tsumeb towards Otavi at about 24h00.
Iindji said the late Shovaleka worked closely with the NCCI Northern Branch leadership until his untimely death.
Shovaleka will be buried at his home town of Tsumeb on Saturday.
