Omafuta Lodge robbed

WINDHOEK, 10 JUN (NAMPA) – Omafuta Lodge at Helao Nafidi was robbed by three men Saturday night.
The incident occurred 01h30, the crime report issued by the Namibian Police Force on Monday said.
The men pretended to be customers when they entered the bar. They bought one beer and then held an employee and customers at gunpoint, instructing them to lie down on the floor.
“One of the suspects allegedly jumped over the counter and took a box containing money and three mobile phones. They fired one shot and fled the scene,” the report said.
One of the suspects was arrested around 08h00 the same morning in the area of Okakwa while he was hitchhiking, while the other two suspects are believed to have fled to Angola.
The value of the stolen items is N.dollars 2 400.
Meanwhile, the police at Okahandja reported that the body of an unidentified man was found by a passer-by at the Okahandja dumpsite around 10h00 on Sunday.
There were wounds on his head, and it is believed that he was attacked.
Police investigations continue.
