OTJIWARONGO, 09 JUN (NAMPA) – A 52-year-old man died instantly Saturday night after the sedan he was driving struck a kudu and collided head-on with an oncoming pick-up on the Outjo-Otjiwarongo road.
Namibian Police Force Otjozondjupa regional crime investigations coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Naukalemo Andreas told Nampa on Sunday that the deceased was identified as Mathias Nerumbu and his close relatives were informed of his death.

“At about 12 kilometres east of Outjo, Nerumbu’s vehicle hit and killed a kudu crossing the road and his vehicle swerved to the right lane, causing it to collide with an Opel Corsa pick-up coming from the opposite direction,” Andreas said.
The deceased’s wife and the driver of the small pick-up both sustained serious injuries and were transferred to the Katutura Intermediate Hospital in Windhoek in critical condition shortly after the incident.
