Zimbabwean man dies in truck accident in //Kharas

KEETMANSHOOP, 29 MAY (NAMPA) – A 28-year-old Zimbabwean national lost his life after he allegedly lost control of the truck he was driving and overturned on the way to Rosh Pinah in the //Kharas Region.
The Namibian Police Force’s crime investigations coordinator for the region, Deputy Commissioner Chrispin Mubebo told Nampa on Tuesday that the deceased was identified as Willington Mujeke.
Mubebo said the incident involving the Coleman Transport truck the deceased was driving, happened 85 kilometres from Rosh Pinah on the Aus-Rosh Pinah road.
“It is alleged that the incident could have occurred during the night on 27 May, and he was travelling from north to south,” said Mubebo.
He said the truck is believed to have come from Walvis Bay destined for Rosh Pinah.
The driver died on the spot and it is believed that he was alone in the truck.
The deceased’s next of kin have been informed and police investigations continue.
