WINDHOEK, O9 JAN (NAMPA) – More rain is expected next week over the north-eastern parts of the country, the Namibian Meteorological Service (NMS) has said.
It said in a weather report for expected weather conditions from 09 to 15 January issued on Thursday that rain is expected as from Sunday over the north-eastern parts of the country, with cloud bands reaching as far as the central areas.
“The rain is anticipated to improve by early next week in terms of intensity and area coverage,” read the report.
The central and north-central areas can expect showers from Monday, while the southern regions can expect showers as from Wednesday.
The NMS further said that the Zambezi Region is likely to receive light afternoon thundershowers, which are more sparsely distributed.
“This means that one village may receive rain, while the neighbouring village may only see clouds,” it explained.
However, for the next couple of days, the country is expected to experience typical summer weather - sunny and hot weather conditions.
