National Council remembers Kuushomwa

WINDHOEK, 28 MAY (NAMPA) – Members of the National Council on Tuesday held a memorial service in honour of Oshakati East Constituency Councillor Lotto Kuushomwa, who died after collapsing in the NC on Monday.
The memorial service was held inside the NC chambers to mourn the National Council member, who was 59.
NC Chairperson, Margaret Mensah-Williams, described Kuushomwa as a hardworking, dependable cadre and loyal MP.
“Today is indeed a sombre day, as we have gathered here to remember and mourn the passing of a dear comrade and loyal member of this August House. Honourable Lotto Kuushomwa’s will be sorely missed,” she stated.
Kuushomwa, who hailed from Omusimboti village, served as councillor for the Oshakati East Constituency since 07 December 2004 and chairperson of the Oshana Regional Council between 2010 and 2015.
Kuushomwa, a retired military flight lieutenant and helicopter pilot, joined the National Council in 2015.
