KARIBIB, 22 MAY (NAMPA) - The Namibian Community Trust (NCT) handed over a classroom to the Ebenhaeser Primary school in Karibib on Tuesday.
The classroom will be used by Grade Six learners at the school.
Handing over the classroom, NCT trustee Angelina Sinvula said the new building block will provide new facilities and an improved learning environment for the learners.
“Modern facilities improve not only the school’s physical environment but also its learning culture. We hope that it will serve to mitigate the problem of overcrowded classrooms,” said Sinvula.
A learner at the school, Kauna Hamakali who spoke on behalf of other learners said they are grateful as they had about 40 learners in a classroom, which disadvantaged the learners.
The new classroom will be the place where Ebenhaeser Primary school learners will build their capacities and inspirations with the support of their teachers, she said.
“This is a day of hope for the future,” she added.
