WINDHOEK, 21 MAY (NAMPA) – Namibia Premier League (NPL) chairperson Patrick Kauta said the promotion to the NPL of teams from the National First Division (NFD) is as yet undecided, pending a decision from the league’s ad-hoc committee.
Kauta made these remarks at a media conference held in the capital on Tuesday, where the NPL updated the public on promotion and relegation.
“Will there be promotion or not is up to the ad-hoc committee. In case there is no promotion, then the league will start with 13 teams in August,” said Kauta.
At the same occasion, Kauta also confirmed that the league will conclude on Sunday and that teams that finish at position 14, 15 and 16 will be automatically relegated to the NFD.
