OTJIWARONGO, 07 MAY (NAMPA) – Police have expressed concern about a 46-year-old woman from Grootfontein who is mentally ill and has been reported as missing since March this year.
Namibian Police Force Otjozondjupa crime investigations coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Naukalemo Andreas on Tuesday told Nampa that Theresia Auguste Naobes has been missing from her family residence in Omulunga residential area at Grootfontein since 05 March this year.
Naobes is Damara speaking, brown in complexion, 1.62 metres tall and was last seen around 19h00 that day dressed in a grey skirt and red and green top.
“We are really concerned about her whereabouts. I now call on any person who has seen her or anyone with information to inform their nearest police station or her relatives at Grootfontein,” said Andreas.
An intensified search around Grootfontein churches and neighbouring farms commenced in April when her family members reported her missing to the police.
A joint search between the police and her family members is ongoing, Andreas said.
