MARIENTAL, 21 APR (NAMPA) – Kunene’s netball team narrowly beat Kavango West 14-13 in the Namibian Newspaper Cup in Mariental on Sunday and in so doing, effectively eliminated them from the competition.

The half-time score was 10-05 in favour of Kunene.
Charmaine Musaso from Kunene was given the woman of the match award.
In a match played Saturday afternoon, Omaheke Region beat //Kharas 14-06.
Omaheke led 07-01 at half-time as Karas battled injuries to several of their players.
Woman of the match was won by Teoline Coetzee much to the displeasure of the large crowd who turned up to watch the match.
The result mean Kunene and Omaheke are now through to the semi-finals, while the inaugural winners defending champions Kavango East have been knocked out.
