Geingob expresses shock over death of Mueller

WINDHOEK, 16 APR (NAMPA) – President Hage Geingob has expressed shock and sadness in the death of the Namibian Institute of Mining and Technology (NIMT) Executive Director, Eckhart Mueller.
In a media statement issued by State House spokesperson Alfredo Hengari on Monday, the Namibian leader described Mueller as a person who was committed to the development of the young people of Namibia.
He praised Mueller for his stellar contributions towards technical and vocational education and training.
Geingob expressed deepest sympathies to the family, colleagues and friends of the deceased.
Mueller and his deputy, Heimo Hellwig were shot in a double murder incident at NIMT in Arandis Monday morning.
No suspects have been arrested at this stage and the motives behind the murders are still unknown.
Police investigations are underway.
