WALVIS BAY, 15 APR (NAMPA) – Kavin Harry has been appointed as interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Namibian Ports Authority (Namport).
Harry, who is the company’s Finance Executive, will commence his interim duties on 01 May, the day after current CEO Bisey /Uirab's 10-year tenure ends.
A media statement issued by Namport on Monday said he is being appointed to, amongst others things, ensure continued effective service delivery.
“The board is confident that Harry with his executive management colleagues and the rest of the Namport team will, until the recruitment of a substantive CEO, continue to steer the organisation toward the attainment of its strategic goals,” it said.
Harry is a chartered accountant by profession and has served in his current position for seven years.
The board is expected to finalise the recruitment of a new CEO within the next few weeks.
