Kunene announces Newspaper Cup team

REHOBOTH, 12 APR (NAMPA) - The Kunene Region on Tuesday selected its final Under-20 team consisting of 20 players, for the Namibian Newspaper Cup.
The Newspaper Cup will take place in Mariental from 19 April to 22 April and will see all 14 regions represented in what is Namibia’s biggest youth football and netball competition.
Speaking to Nampa on Monday, head coach Arnold !Gaoseb said the team looks good as they have about nine players who took part in last year’s edition.
He said the trials started early in February where they made two teams, one in Opuwo and the other in Kamanjab, from which they selected the players.
“The boys we have can face any team and we are ready to make history in Hardap and win the tournament,” !Gaoseb said.
