Heavy rains expected over Zambezi and Kavango-east regions

WINDHOEK, 31 DEC (NAMPA) - Heavy rains are expected over the Zambezi and Kavango East regions from Wednesday to Friday this week, the Namibia Meteorological Service (NMS) said on Tuesday.
It further reported that the Namibian interior is expected to be partly cloudy and warm to hot with showers and thundershowers over the north-eastern parts on Wednesday.
Elsewhere, the weather is expected to be fine and hot with partly cloudy intervals and light showers in the afternoon, but sunny and very hot in the south.
The weather at the coast is expected to be partly cloudy and cool with morning fog patches, while the wind is expected to be moderate south-westerly to fresh southerly.
A low tide is expected at Walvis Bay at 09h15 and 21h27, while a high tide is expected at 15h24.
The highest temperatures are expected at Noordoewer in the south with 40 Degrees Celsius, while Mariental and Keetmanshoop can expect a maximum temperature of 39 Degrees Celsius each.
