Youngsters to face Atlanta Bucks in Harders Cup final

LÜDERITZ, 31 MAR (NAMPA) – Former Harders Cup winners, Youngsters Football Club booked their spot in the final of the 2019 tournament with a hard fought 2-0 victory over Rush Ups on Saturday.
They will face their local rivals Atlanta Bucks, who overcame two time finalists Novanam Pescanova by a 3-2 scoreline in the other semi-final at the Lüderitz Football Stadium.
Youngsters scored a goal in each half through their top marksman Eusebia Fredericks who is now the competition’s top scorer with three goals, ahead of substitute Howard Shipepa, who has scored two goals so far.
Atlanta Bucks came back from a goal down to take a 3-1 lead before facing a nervy finish after Rush Ups made it 3-2 midway through the second half.
Youngsters will be looking at winning the trophy for the second time, having won the inaugural tournament in 2017.
Atlanta Bucks will be attempting to win the trophy for the first time since it was introduced.
The winners are guaranteed N.dollars 100 000 and a brand new floating trophy, while the runner-up will receive N.dollars 50 000 and third-placed team, N.dollars 20 000.
The top goal-scorer will walk away with N.dollars 10 000.
