Irimari appointed new Oshana governor

WINDHOEK, 12 Marc (NAMPA) – President Hage Geingob on Tuesday appointed Elia Irimari as the new Governor of Oshana Region, replacing Clemence Kashuupulwa, who was appointed Namibia’s ambassador to Russia in November 2018.

This was confirmed in a media statement issued by State House Press Secretary, Alfredo Hengari on Tuesday.

His appointment will be effective from 18th March 2019 until 18 March 2024.

According to the statement Irimari is a teacher by profession and had served as an Ondangwa Urban Councillor in the Oshana Region until his recent appointment.
