Qualification forgery accused appears before court at Otjiwarongo

OTJIWARONGO, 12 MAR (NAMPA) - A 31-year-old female official of the Central North Regional Electricity Distributor (Cenored), arrested on Monday for the alleged forgery of her qualification, made an appearance in the Otjiwarongo Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The accused, Esther Hihanguapo, made her first court appearance before Magistrate Yvette Fredericks on Tuesday morning, who released her on a warning and postponed the case to 20 June 2019.
Hihanguapo is employed as an administrative officer at the Cenored headquarters at Otjiwarongo.
The accused is alleged to have altered details of a Grade 12 certificate which does not belong to her in May 2017 and used it to secure permanent employment at Cenored.
Public prosecutor, Elana Doeses, appeared for the State in the matter.
