WINDHOEK, 12 MAR (NAMPA) - State hospitals will no longer serve tea and coffee to patients between meals due to financial constraints.
The suspension of the service was announced in a circular issued by Executive Director in the Ministry of Health and Social Services, Ben Nangombe on Monday.
The circular said the ministry has decided to suspend the serving of tea and coffee served at 10h00, 15h00 and 19h00 on the current menus due to financial constraints.
Nangombe confirmed the order when contacted for comment on Monday.
“The patients get breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also get three tea and coffee breaks which we have decided to remove from the menu,” he added.
The suspension will be effective from 01 April 2019.
