WINDHOEK, 08 MAR (NAMPA) – The Romanian Vice Prime Minister, Ana Birchall visited Namibia as part of her African tour on Thursday.
This is according to a media statement issued by State House Press Secretary Alfredo Hengari the same day.
During the discussions President Hage Geingob reflected on Romania’s support and the need for stronger diplomatic ties.
“Recalling the support of Romania for Namibia’s independence during the liberation struggle under Swapo, the two leaders emphasised the need to deepen cooperation between the two countries in the areas of agriculture, climate change, education and youth empowerment,” the statement reads.
The discussions also focused on the improvement of dialogue between the two countries.
“This is through the establishment of periodic diplomatic consultations on policy convergence, bilateral matters and multilateral cooperation,” Hengari said.
