Shifeta represents Namibia at 2019 ITB Berlin

WINDHOEK, 06 MAR (NAMPA) - Minister of Environment and Tourism, Pohamba Shifeta is representing Namibia at the Internationale Tourismus-Börse Berlin (ITB Berlin), which will run between 06 and 10 March.
This was revealed in a media statement issued by the environment ministry on Wednesday, which said more than 30 Namibian tourism companies, under the banner of Namibia Tourism Board (NTB), are also represented at the tourism trade fair.
Tourism companies had presentations on the services and products they offer at a pre-ITB networking event on Tuesday, leading up to the actual international trade fair, the statement said.
“NTB and the Namibian Embassy in Germany hosted the pre-ITB networking event, where the minister had an opportunity to address the exhibitors and commended them for marketing destination Namibia,” the statement reads.
NTB, Air Namibia, Namibia Wildlife Resorts and Gondwana Collection were amongst those represented.
“The Namibian Ambassador to Germany, Andreas Guibeb also used the opportunity to hand over the appointment letters to honorary consuls from cities in Germany, who will serve as business links between Namibia and those two German cities,” the statement further reads.
The ITB attracts an average of 109 000 visitors and 10 000 exhibitors from all over the world.
