OSHAKATI, 23 DEC (NAMPA) - The Inspector-General of the Namibian Police Force (NamPol), Sebastian Ndeitunga has called on members of the Special Field Force Directorate to ensure that the rights and properties of Namibians are protected at all times.
Ndeitunga made this call at a year-end function held for senior officials of that directorate here on Friday.
He said members of the Special Field Force (SFF) have a crucial responsibility of maintaining law and order at the Namibian borders, from Impalila to Otjimuhaka and from Noordoewer to Omaheke.
“Join our Angolan counterparts to hunt out criminals who are trying to hide in that country so that we can ensure that Angola is not becoming a refuge for criminals,” Ndeitunga urged.
He also encouraged the SFF members to build trust with the members of the public so that they can benefit from public assistance when execution their duties.
Ndeitunga wished all NamPol members a good rest during the festive period so that they can come back with new strength for 2014.
The function took place at the Ruben Danger Ashipala Training Centre at Ondangwa.
