Capricorn Group records increase in operating profit

WINDHOEK, 02 MAR (NAMPA) – Capricorn Group recorded an increase in its operating profit of N.dollars 674.3 million for the six months ended 31 December 2018.
This is an increase of 11,5 per cent from N.dollars 604 636 000 over the same period in 2017.
In a media statement issued Friday, Capricorn Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Thinus Prinsloo attributed the growth in operation profit to good performance in subsidiaries delivering on their strategies despite difficult operating environments.
In its reviewed consolidated interim group results for the six months ended 31 December 2018, Capricorn indicated that it also recorded a growth in headline earnings per share of 9,6 per cent in the first half of the financial year 2019, following flat earnings over the last two years.
The group further declared an interim dividend of 30 cents per ordinary share.
Capricorn Group, previously known as Bank Windhoek Holdings, is a Namibian company listed on the Namibian Stock Exchange.
