Man dies after falling off building in Windhoek

WINDHOEK, 08 FEB (NAMPA) – A 45-year-old man died instantly on Thursday after he fell from a building under construction at Wernhil Park.
The building is 17 metres from the ground.
Namibian Police Force spokesperson, Deputy Commissioner Edwin Kanguatjivi confirmed the incident to Nampa on Friday, noting the deceased worked as a bricklayer at the Wernhil Park phase four east side building.
Details surrounding the incident were still unclear, but it is suspected to have happened sometime between 17h00 and 21h00, he said, adding that the man was wearing a safety helmet.
The deceased was identified as Leonard Ndilimo Nghilifavali and his next of kin were informed.
No foul play is suspected and an inquest docket has been opened.
Police investigations continue.
