Man dies in accident near Rehoboth

REHOBOTH, 08 FEB (NAMPA) – A 39-year-old man died on the spot on Wednesday after he lost control of the vehicle he was driving, which then left the road and overturned a few kilometres outside Rehoboth.

The Namibian Police Force’s crime investigations coordinator for the Hardap Region, Deputy Commissioner Eric Clay told Nampa on Thursday that the incident happened at around 03h34 on the B1 Road approximately 5 kilometres north of Rehoboth.

“It is alleged that the driver of an Opel Corsa sedan with registration number N3930W lost control of his vehicle while on his way back to Rehoboth and the vehicle left the road and overturned, killing him on the spot,” Clay said.

The deceased was identified as Immanuel Jacob.

His next of kin have been informed of his death and police investigations in the matter continue.
