In a separate incident in Mariental, a 25-year-old man was arrested and his alleged accomplice is still at large after they overpowered and raped a 34-year-old woman on Saturday.

Clay told Nampa on Sunday that the incident happened at around 22h50 in Aimablaagte location of the southern town.

“A 34-year-old lady reported that she was drinking tombo at a certain house in Aimablaagte and later when she left, two men who were also at the same place followed her to the side of the graveyard and they overpowered her, removed her underwear and raped [her] by giving each other changes,” Clay said.
