Keetmanshoop Municipality street market kicks off

KEETMANSHOOP, 31 JAN (NAMPA) – The Keetmanshoop Municipality will start with its one-day street market on Thursday, which aims at boosting sales for small and medium businesses and creating a cultural hub in town.
Municipality Public Relations Officer, Dawn Kruger said the market, a monthly event, is an initiation presenting a platform for local business owners and the youth to gain exposure, generate sales and grow their businesses.
“Active entrepreneurs, small and medium enterprises, women in business, vendors and exhibitors from all over the //Kharas Region can participate,” she said.
The street market, also a place to ‘meet and greet’, will be hosted every month end till November this year, starting 31 January.
Kruger said stall categories include but are not limited to arts, handicrafts, food, beverages (non-alcohol), retail upcycled goods, tourism and hospitality.
“A small amount of N.dollars 50 should be paid by those who wish to participate and registration should be done two days in advance,” she added.
The street market will run from 09h00 to 18h00 and will take place in Jooste Street, behind the municipality offices and NamPost in town.
